Dental Screening
Research Belton Foundation along with the Belton, Raymore-Peculiar, and Grandview school districts, the Missouri Department of Health, and Senior Services & Office of Primary Care & Rural Health are offering a preventive dental program. In the month of February, National Children’s Dental Health Month, a licensed dental professional will screen 3rd grade students’ teeth in the Belton and Raymore-Peculiar school districts and 3rd and 5th grade students in the Grandview school districts. The program is offered to all children; those that receive regular care from a family dentist and those that do not.
Each student screened will also receive a free toothbrush and toothpaste.

Dental Care for Children
Dental Care for Children is a program of Research Belton Foundation that provides necessary dental care for area children whose parents cannot afford to pay for treatment and do not have dental insurance. For those that do not have insurance, we use the federal government poverty guidelines at 150% of the poverty level to qualify these children.
Dental Care for Children covers preventive care and dental emergencies. A dental emergency is characterized by trauma (such as a broken tooth) or recurring pain. Covered procedures include, but are not limited to fillings, root canals, extractions, x-rays and cleanings. Multiple visits and/or referrals may be necessary on a case-by-case basis. |
