The Research Foundation now accepting scholarship applications for students in health care
KANSAS CITY, Mo., (Jan. 15, 2018) –Area students pursuing degrees in nursing, physical therapy, radiology and nuclear medicine can now apply for scholarships from The Research Foundation.
Undergraduate nursing students must be enrolled in the traditional nursing program at Avila University, Research College of Nursing/Rockhurst University Nursing Program or William Jewell College. Students must be a current sophomore or junior nursing student. Nursing Accelerated Option and Nursing Accelerate Track students are not eligible to apply. Scholarships range from $1,500 to $25,000. The deadline to apply is March 1.
Students pursuing a doctor of physical therapy (DPT) degree can also apply for scholarships. Individuals must be in their first year of the DPT program at Rockhurst University, the University of Kansas, or University of Missouri-Columbia. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $3,000. The deadline to apply is April 1.
Those enrolled in their first year at the radiologic or nuclear medicine technology program at Penn Valley Community College, Research Medical Center School of Radiology, Research Medical Center School of Nuclear Medicine Technology or the University of Kansas Medical Center Nuclear Medicine Certificate Program are eligible to apply for scholarships. Scholarships range from $500 to $1,000. The deadline to apply is April 1.
All students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
