Community Block Party and Health Fair

The Community Block Party and Health Fair promotes and encourages healthy lifestyle changes through a fun and educational event. Free health screenings include BMI, blood pressure, blood glucose, bone density, cholesterol, glaucoma, dental, foot, HIV and posture health are available to attendees and nearly 100 exhibitors are on hand to provide information about stroke, heart attack, diabetes, oncology and a wide array of other health-related topics.

An injury prevention area offers advice from, the Kansas City Fire Department, Missouri Highway Patrol and Kansas City Police Department and a wellness area features healthy snacks, cooking and exercise demonstrations as well as free massages and relaxation techniques. Bring your children to enjoy carnival games, an inflatable moonwalk, crafts and activities and face painting. 

The 9th Annual Community Block Party & Health Fair was Saturday, September 12, 2015 on the Research Medical Center Campus. Approximately 100 exhibitors provided health information to more than 800 attendees at the event.
