Community Block Party & Health Fair
The 7th Annual Community Block Party & Health Fair will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the West Parking Lot of Research Medical Center located at 2316 E. Meyer Boulevard.
Free Health Screenings are offered including:
- Blood Glucose
- Blood Pressure
- Body Mass Index
- Cholesterol
- Dental
- Foot
- Glaucoma
- HIV
- Posture Health
More than 90 booths provide health information.
The Children's Area includes:
- Carnival Games
- Moon Walk
- Face Painting
- Free books from the Kansas City Public Library
- Free bicycle helmets to the first 250 children from the Brain Injury Association of Kansas & Greater Kansas City
Additional Activities include:
- Hot 103.3 Jamz on site at Research Medical Center form 10 a.m. to Noon
- KC Zoomobile
- Missouri State Highway Patrol Seat Belt Convincer
- KCMO Fire Truck
- KCMO Police Department Bearcat Tactical Unit
- Pink Heals Pink Fire Truck for Cancer Awareness & Survivorship
- Local community entertainment starting every half hour
- Chef Jasper Mirabile Jr. healthy cooking demonstrations
- Half-mile and one-mile "Fun" Walk
