What Schools Say

Ninety-nine percent of the schools surveyed last year that hosted an assembly would schedule a ThinkFirst program in the future and ninety-nine percent would recommend a ThinkFirst presentation to other schools.

Here is what schools say about ThinkFirst of Greater Kansas City.

“The ThinkFirst presentation at our school this fall was outstanding. Our students were engaged as our guest told about his accident and the decisions that led to his traumatic brain injury. In talking with students after the assembly, I believe the message was well received and will hopefully have a positive impact.”
Mike Wiley, Principal, Basehor-Linwood Middle School

“The presentation was wonderful and the speakers were engaging. I would love to do it again.”
Danielle Shockley, Shawnee Mission South High School

“Our event was attended by students from the Chrisman & Van Horn High Schools senior class. I felt that a strong message was sent to the teens in regards to making the right choices and decisions while driving. The attendees were able to see all the serious and lasting implications a serious crash can have.”
Don Fowler, Independence Missouri Police Department

“ThinkFirst has been coming to Grandview Middle School for 14 years. Everything about the organization has always been first class. We are honored to have ThinkFirst give a presentation to our students every year and we feel the program has had a major impact on the choices our students make.”
David L. Devaney, Grandview Middle School

"The ThinkFirst speakers did a great job of connecting with our students. The stories they told were very impactful and I believe each student felt that the speakers were talking directly to them."
Jennifer Robinson, Smithville High School
