ThinkFirst of Greater Kansas City was founded in 1987 and offers a free educational program to schools grades K-12 designed to create an understanding into how brain and spinal cord injuries can be prevented. This comprehensive injury prevention program is designed to help young children develop lifelong safety habits to minimize their risks of sustaining brain, spinal cord and other traumatic injuries. Young people that have sustained a brain or spinal cord injury share their own stories of how they were injured, what they could have done to prevent their injury and what their life is like now. Each year, the message is presented to more than 30,000 Kansas City area youth. For information about bringing ThinkFirst to your school contact us at (816) 276-3163 or info@theresearchfoundationkc.org.
