The Research Foundation allows supporters and friends to get involved through contributions, events, volunteer work, planned gifts, and more. 

You can help The Research Foundation in many ways.

Donate to our health-centered programs and partnerships.

Your contributions will support our nursing and allied health scholarships, injury prevention efforts, assistance for low-income cancer patients, young driver education programs, nursing faculty development opportunities and continuing education symposiums. 

Attend one of our fundraising events.

We host the Candlelight Ball biennially to benefit our health-centered programs. The event is a black-tie gala that includes a cocktail reception, dinner, trivia, and dancing. During years the Candlelight Ball is not held, The Research Foundation invites friends and supporters to its other biennial event - the Research Royal Dinner & Auction. This event is a more casual, themed affair with a silent auction, dinner and drinks, entertainment, and several activities for guests. The Research Royal Dinner & Auction supports nursing scholarships for students attending Avila University, Research College of Nursing, and William Jewell College. The Research Golf Classic tournament is played annually in August. It is an 18-hole, four-person scramble with course and putting contests, team prizes, a raffle and silent auction. Proceeds from the event benefit The Research Foundation’s programs.

Leave a legacy through estate plans.

Ensure a stable future for The Research Foundation and those we serve by including the organization in your estate plans. Planned gifts can be made through bequests, endowment funds, stocks, life insurance policies, real estate and personal property, trusts, and gift annuities. 

Celebrate a loved one through gifts in honor or in memory

Celebrate a newborn, remember a family member, or support a loved one's legacy through a gift to The Research Foundation. You can support our mission while honoring your friends and family.

Support The Research Foundation in other ways.

You can volunteer for The Research Foundation at an event, in our office, or in other ways. If you are interested in lending your talents, fill out our volunteer from here. Members of the community can join our Advisory Directors and become dedicated to the mission of The Research Foundation. The group includes business professionals, retired individuals and community volunteers who gather to learn about issues in health care that affect our community and support our programs that address these issues. Employees of Research Medical Center can join the Employees Contributing to Help Others (ECHO) Team to support The Research Foundation's Employee Assistance Fund or our other health-centered programs.
