Kansas City radiologic and nuclear medicine technology students receive scholarships

KANSAS CITY, Mo., (Jun. 2, 2020 ) – Students enrolled in the Research Medical Center Schools of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine were awarded scholarships from The Research Foundation.

Scholarship recipients in the Research Medical Center School of Nuclear Medicine include Konner Hoelscher, Taylor Hughes, Austin Kirkwood and Dillon Steppe.

Scholarship recipients in the Research Medical Center School of Radiology include Courtney Campbell, Heather Delana, Jordan Walker and Julianne Wortmann.

Walker was awarded the Sarah Wilson Thompson Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship was established in 1999 in memory of Sarah Wilson Thompson, a radiologic technologist at Research Medical Center and graduate of their radiologic technology program in 1993. Sarah lost her battle with lymphoma shortly after completing the program. The $1,000 scholarship is The Research Foundation’s highest award available to radiology students.
