Regional allied health students invited to apply for scholarships

KANSAS CITY, Mo., (Dec. 10, 2020) – The Research Foundation is inviting regional allied health students to apply for a number of scholarships. Scholarships are available to doctor of physical therapy, radiologic technology, nuclear medicine technology and radiation therapy students.  

Doctor of physical therapy students must be in their first year of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program with a graduation year of 2022 at Rockhurst University, the University of Kansas or University of Missouri-Columbia. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher to be eligible to apply. 

Only first year radiologic technology students or nuclear medicine technology and radiation therapy students currently studying in the 12-month certificate program are eligible to apply. Students must be enrolled in at Penn Valley Community College of Radiology, Research Medical Center School of Radiology, Research Medical Center School of Nuclear Medicine Technology, University of Kansas Medical Center Nuclear Medicine Certificate Program or Washburn University Radiation Therapy Certificate Program. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher or be eligible to apply. 

In 2020, The Research Foundation awarded $30,800 to allied health students in the region. Scholarships may only be applied to tuition. Students should apply by April 1.
