KANSAS CITY, Mo., (Aug. 4, 2025) – Tickets to The Research Foundation’s 16th Research Royal Dinner “Champions of Nursing” are now available for purchase. The biennial fundraiser is Saturday, November 1 at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel. The event will raise funds for nursing student scholarship programs.
The evening includes a cocktail social, music, dinner, and dancing. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in several fundraising activities including raffles, a wine pull, and a whiskey pull.
The Research Foundation will honor five outstanding nurses selected to receive one of three awards including Rising Star, Nursing Impact, or Lifetime Achievement. Champions of Nursing Rising Star honorees will be honored for the first 3 years of their career after graduating from a nursing program. Champions of Nursing Nursing Impact award winners will be celebrated for the impact that they have made at any point in their career. Champions of Nursing Lifetime Achievement honorees will recognize a nurse for a lifetime of integrity, leadership, commitment, respect, and excellence.
Event underwriters are Research Medical Center and UMB Bank. Other major sponsors include LabCorp, David E. Ross Construction, Healthpeak Properties, and J.E. Dunn Construction.
