KANSAS CITY, Mo., (Aug. 25, 2026) – The 37th Annual Research Golf Classic raised more than $162,000 for The Research Foundation’s health-centered programs and partnerships.
The annual Golf Classic was hosted at Oakwood Country Club in Kansas City, Missouri on Monday, August 24. Major sponsors included Research Medical Center, AT Abatement Services, C&C Group, JE Dunn Construction Company, Electrical Corporation of America, Labcorp, Lexington Plumbing, Medical Technology Associates, Progressive Electronics Inc., Stanger Industries, Western Specialty Contractors, and Wilkerson Crane Rental.
Team awards included:
First place: Dave Ruf, Brian Burkett, Kevin Hanrahan, and Elijah Shirley
Second place: Dr. Shawn Lybarger, Brian Monoian, David Williams, and Bailey Marquart
Third place: Dr. Andy Armstrong, Eric Dailey, Dr. Jeff Cameron, and Dr. Tom Franey
Fourth place: Stephen Bickford, Danny Davies, Drew Harm, and Corey Schepers
Fifth place: Justin Inglett, John Tyler, Patrick Rafferty, and Sean Nix
Sixth place: Drew Quinn, David Quinn, Sean Quinn, and Doug Quinn
Seventh place: Keith Crane, Tim Moore, Tyler Ford, and Michael Guerry
Eighth place: Scott Lockard, Jackie Bryan, Tommy Cochran, and Ryan Winter
All ties were determined by a scorecard play-off.

“This year’s Research Golf Classic was an incredible success and a testament to the generosity of everyone who came together to support our mission,” said Rose Simone, tournament director at The Research Foundation. “We were excited to experience the tournament at a new course, Oakwood Country Club, which provided a wonderful setting for a day of golf and giving. The funds raised will help us continue investing in health-centered programs that make a meaningful difference for our community.”
