Volunteer Opportunities

The Research Foundation offers Advisory Directors several opportunities to serve on committees and volunteer. Please select the activities you would like to participate in.

Golf Classic Planning Committee
Assist in coordinating the annual Golf Classic by recruiting sponsorships, obtaining course prizes, securing auction items, and general planning of the event. Meets monthly by Zoom from February through April.
Golf Classic Day-of-Event Volunteer
Serve as a volunteer for the annual Golf Classic by working registration and packet pick-up, distributing snacks and beverages, working the on-course contests, or other activities. No meetings.
Candlelight Ball or Research Royal Dinner Planning Committee
Assist in coordinating the Candlelight Ball (held on even years) or Research Royal Dinner (held on odd years), Helps sell tables and tickets and plans details including food, decorations, entertainment and fundraising activities. Meets four times February through May.
Membership/Program Committee
Develop an annual membership plan to recruit new members for appointment to the Advisory Directors. Committee also plans four annual luncheon or breakfast programs for members. Meets once per year.
Foundation Office Volunteer
Help with administrative tasks and office projects on an as needed basis. Volunteers can choose to help based on their availability. Generally, this is connected to our mailing campaigns and includes stuffing envelopes and labeling postcards. Assistance is also needed with a variety of activities prior to our events.
Foundation Board Committees
The foundation has several committees that meet quarterly. The bylaws allow for Advisory Directors to serve on these committees based on their interest and expertise. Board committees include Annual Fund, Finance, and Investment.
