Radiation therapy, radiologic and nuclear medicine technology students receive scholarships from The Research Foundation

KANSAS CITY, Mo., (Dec. 1, 2022) – The Research Foundation has awarded $10,550 in scholarships to allied health students studying radiation therapy, radiologic technology, and nuclear medicine technology in the Kansas City region.  

Eligible students were enrolled in the Penn Valley Community College School of Radiology, Research Medical Center School of Radiology, Research Medical Center School of Nuclear Medicine Technology, University of Kansas Medical Center Nuclear Medicine Certificate Program, and Washburn University Radiation Therapy Certificate Program.

Scholarship recipients enrolled in the Washburn University Radiation Therapy Certificate Program include Mackenzie Londene and Myles Mustapich. Each received a $2,275 scholarship, which is provided by the Therapeutic Radiologist Endowment Fund established through The Research Foundation.

Scholarship recipients at the Penn Valley Community College School of Radiology were each awarded a $750 scholarship. They include Elaine Gerhards, Alyssa Karl, and Marzia Rasouli.

Scholarship recipients at the Research Medical Center School of Nuclear Medicine Technology were also each given a $750 scholarship. Bryce Clark, Johnathan Helm, Lydia Hadle, Tenna Mack, and Briley Triplett were awarded. Radiologic and nuclear medicine technology scholarships totaled $6,000.

Earlier in 2022, The Research Foundation awarded $11,500 in scholarships to students at the Research Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology and additional students enrolled at the Research Medical Center School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
