
KANSAS CITY, Mo., (Jun. 12, 2025) – The Research Foundation continues its long-standing investment in the future of health care by awarding $269,623 in scholarships to nursing students enrolled in traditional and transfer programs at Research College of Nursing, Avila University, and William Jewell College.

"Supporting the education of these dedicated students is more than an investment in their futures — it’s an investment in the health and well-being of our entire community. These scholarships reflect our ongoing commitment to the nursing profession."
A total of 53 nursing students received scholarships this year. Research College of Nursing students were awarded $180,354, Avila University students received $54,769, and William Jewell College students were awarded $34,500. Of the recipients, 29 are enrolled at Research College of Nursing, 16 at Avila University, and eight at William Jewell College.
In addition to these scholarships, The Research Foundation supports nursing education through funding for accelerated nursing students, emergency financial assistance, and the provision of white coat and commitment jackets for students entering the profession.
