36th Annual Research Golf Classic breaks fundraising record for health programs

KANSAS CITY, Mo., (Aug. 19, 2025) – The 36th Annual Research Golf Classic raised nearly $160,500 for The Research Foundation’s health-centered programs and partnerships.

The annual Golf Classic was hosted at Milburn Country Club in Overland Park, Kansas on Monday, August 18. Major sponsors included Research Medical Center, LabCorp, AT Abatement Services, C&C Group, JE Dunn Construction Company, Electrical Corporation of America, Integrated Openings Solutions, LLC, Lexington Plumbing, Medical Technology Associates, Progressive Electronics Inc., Stanger Industries, Western Specialty Contractors, and Wilkerson Crane Rental.

Team awards included:

  • First place: Mike Arbanas, Bill Kerns, Mike Popp, and Joseph Streff
  • Second place: Brian Burkett, Kevin Hanrahan, Andrew Petersen, and Dave Ruf
  • Third place: Shawn Lybarger, Brian Monoian, Dustin Ulm, and David Williams
  • Fourth place: Andy Armstrong, Jeff Cameron, Joe Euston, and Jeff Kanatzer
  • Fifth place: Doug Cowan, Stan McClurg, David Rudman, and Brad Seaman
  • Sixth place: Jon Bohnsack, Kevin Knipp, Chad Thurman, and Justin Wood
  • Seventh place: Ryan Berauskas, Alan Cornett, Michael Justice, and Kyle Smell
  • Eighth place: Andrew Cusser, Jason Eppler, Tucker Lienhop, and Erik Stamper
  • Ninth place: Dennis Burns, Mark Fox, Curt Mellett, and Mary Moore
  • Tenth place: Andrew Burton, Shad Cox, Tony Mares, and Clark Zeit
  • Eleventh place: Shawn Flippo, Joe Germano, Brandon McGeehan, and Chris Metzler

All ties were determined by a scorecard play-off.

Course contest winners include:

  • Hole 1, Closest to the pin in two shots: Ryan Berauskas
  • Hole 3, Closest to the pin: David Williams
  • Hole 7, Closest to the pin: Chad Thurman
  • Hole 8, Longest drive (age 55 and over): David Rudman
  • Hole 9, Longest putt: Mackenize Hoambrecker
  • Hole 9, Longest drive (age 54 and under): Jeff Deason
  • Hole 12, Closest to the pin in two shots: Daniel Venker
  • Hole 14, Longest putt: Jason Eppler
  • Hole 16, Longest drive for ladies: Mary Moore
  • Hole 18, Longest putt: Nick Meyer

Drew Quinn came in first in the putting content, Bill Kerns came in second, and Mike Popp came in third. Khalil Booshehri won the 50/50 Raffle.

Their support makes this tournament and our programs successful.”
