KANSAS CITY, Mo., (Dec. 15, 2025) – The Research Foundation announced 44 local organizations who were approved to receive funding through its community grants initiative.
The grants will support programs and organizations that expand access to care and promote health equity.
The Research Foundation focused its grants on organizations that primarily serve residents in Jackson County, Missouri, prioritizing urban Kansas City.
"These grants reflect our commitment to improving health access and equity across the Kansas City area," said Cynthia Randazzo, President and CEO of The Research Foundation. "By investing in organizations that provide essential services, from medical care to mental health support and more, we are helping ensure that all residents, especially those in underserved urban communities, have the resources they need to thrive."
The Research Foundation launched the community grants program after providing health-centered programs and forming partnerships in the Greater Kansas City area for decades. Through the generous support of its donors, The Research Foundation remains committed to its current program that invest in scholarship support for nursing and allied health students, injury prevention education to youth, financial assistance to low-income cancer patients, and many other health-centered initiatives. To maximize impact, the board of directors determined additional foundation funds could be used to support community health partnerships.
