KANSAS CITY, Mo., (Jan. 9, 2026) – The Research Foundation entered a new partnership with HappyBottoms in 2025 to help address the critical need for diapers among underserved families in the Kansas City community. Through this collaboration, The Research Foundation sponsored the establishment of a new diaper distribution site at Research Medical Center.
Throughout 2025, the diaper distribution site served 85 families each month, providing consistent support to parents and caregivers and helping reduce barriers to health, hygiene, and economic stability. By locating the site at Research Medical Center, families were able to access diapers in a trusted, centralized setting within the community.
“Access to clean diapers is a basic necessity that directly impacts a child’s health and a family’s well-being,” said Cynthia Randazzo, The Research Foundation president and CEO. “This partnership with HappyBottoms and Research Medical Center reflects The Research Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting programs that strengthen the health of our community.”
The diaper distribution site at Research Medical Center operates on the following schedule:
- 1st & 3rd Tuesday: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- 2nd Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
HappyBottoms is a Kansas City–based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of babies and families by providing diapers and related basic needs to those most in need.
