KANSAS CITY, Mo., (Jun. 17, 2026) – The Research Foundation continues its longstanding commitment to strengthening the future of healthcare by awarding $480,706 in scholarships to 77 nursing students enrolled in traditional and transfer as well as accelerated nursing programs at Research College of Nursing, Avila University, and William Jewell College.

Avila University students receiving a TBSN scholarship from The Research Foundation include Azucena Abonce, Laney Blacketer, Sophia Boatman, Susan Comstock, Gailzveva Edouard, Ellie Gibson, Peyton Fisher, Eleanor Larson, Olivia Nelson, Nicole Njogu, Madeline Sharp, Kylin Sousley, and McKenzie Telaroli.
William Jewell College students receiving a TBSN scholarship from The Research Foundation include Nasteho Ahmed, Shannon Ciccarella, Gabrielle Fisher, Tadiwanashe Katsande, Chigozirim Nwoha, Paige Perry, Evan Schoor, and Rayleigh Shockley.
In addition to these scholarships, The Research Foundation supports nursing education through emergency financial assistance, licensed practical nursing (LPN) scholarships, and the provision of white coat and commitment jackets for students entering the profession.
